Aston Villa are linked with signing the 20-year-old hitman.

Tammy Abraham celebrates scoring their first goal during the Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Swansea City at Selhurst Park on August 26, 2017 in London, England.

Aston Villa wrapped up a double deal recently.

The Villans announced the captures of Yannick Bolasie and Anwar El-Ghazi on season-long loans from Everton and Lille respectively.

But is the best yet to come?

According to ESPN earlier this week, Aston Villa are also close to completing a trilogy of exciting signings by bringing in young Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.

If that happens, Villa might be getting their best goalscorer since Christian Benteke.

The 20-year-old scored 26 goals during a loan spell at Bristol City during the 2016-17 campaign and no Villa player has come anywhere near that total since Benteke in 2012-13, after netting 23 in all competitions.

Of course, they were a Premier League side back then, but in terms of goals then Abraham could be their most lethal striker since the big Belgian.

Steve Bruce is under pressure to take the West Midlands side back to the Premier League this season, having come so close to losing his job during the summer, and boasting a red-hot striker of Abraham’s talents would be simply massive for their promotion hopes.
