The Blades were 3-0 up after 62 minutes, thanks to a stunning hat-trick from Billy Sharp.

Dean Smith’s side, though launched a late comeback, with Tyrone Mings – signed on loan from Premier League club Bournemouth in the January transfer window – pulling one back for Villa in the 82nd minute.

Striker Abraham, who joined the Villans from Chelsea in the summer of 2018, found the target for the home team four minutes later, and then in the fourth minute of injury time, Andre Green made it 3-3.

United were the better team overall, but the Blades collapsed in the final 10 minutes – something that not may followers of the game will have predicted.
