Newcastle United went after Tammy Abraham, but he ended up choosing Swansea City.

Tammy Abraham has shown just how big a miss he could be for Newcastle United, after his brace for Swansea City yesterday.
Abraham helped Swansea win 2-0 against Huddersfield Town yesterday, and he showed his poacher’s instinct during the contest.
The Chelsea loanee first finished well from close-range, before poking home a chip from Jordan Ayew.
Abraham now has four goals in his first eight Premier League appearances, and Newcastle may well be ruing missing the chance to sign the youngster.

Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez pushed hard to sign Abraham, as reported by the Chronicle, but his efforts were to no avail.
Abraham ended up moving to Swansea, and that must be a major frustration now.
Newcastle are still searching for a prolific goalscorer, with Joselu currently leading the line.

Joselu has shown he can bring others in to play, but he does not seem to have the same goalscoring instincts as Abraham.
And Newcastle may be frustrated watching on, if Abraham continues to impress at Swansea.
