The Chelsea and England striker, on loan at Villa Park for the season, gave an answer which is sure to go down very well with the Claret and Blue faithful.

In Tammy Abraham, Aston Villa have one of England’s brightest young talents at their disposal for the season.

Despite being just 21, the Chelsea striker already has a frightening goal record for most of the clubs he’s played at.

At Bristol City, he scored a huge 26 in 48 games, with 35 in 57 for the Stamford Bridge outfit’s various youth teams (Transfermarkt).

Even during a difficult 2017/18 campaign with Swansea, who suffered relegation from the Premier League, Abraham claimed eight goals and five assists in 39 games.

Now at Villa Park, the Three Lions forward has returned to his best, bagging 11 in 15 games so far, and it looks as though there is plenty more to come for the young hotshot.

As part of the Villa website’s One on One Series, Abraham was interviewed by the club reporters on a number of subjects earlier this week, touching on topics such as manager Dean Smith and playing alongside Diego Costa.

When asked about his favourite goal in the famous claret and blue strip so far, there seemed to be little hesitation from Abraham with regards to the answer – he went for the penalty against bitter rivals Birmingham City in November’s 4-2 win at Villa Park.

His answer in full read: “I’d pick the goal against Birmingham City – even though it was a penalty. You could just feel how much that meant to everyone. That derby atmosphere was crazy. I loved playing in that game.”
