Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa side are said to be set to be turned down by Tammy Abraham.

Tammy Abraham could regret turning down Aston Villa to chase a Premier League move.

According to the Daily Mirror, Abraham has no interest in joining the claret and blues at this time, as he wants to stay at Chelsea and test himself.

However, Abraham looks likely to simply play a reserve role at Maurizio Sarri’s side.

Abraham may be given opportunities in cup matches, but it is not out of the question that he will not play one Premier League match until January.

And surely a loan move to Villa would have suited the youngster better.

Abraham has already proven to be a major threat at Championship level and at Villa he would be offered brilliant service.

The claret and blues have just signed Anwar El Ghazi and Yannick Bolasie to increase the creativity in their squad.

And having that sort of supply line could have served Abraham brilliantly.

The England international had a difficult season at Swansea City last term, and he found finding the back of the net at the top level a challenge.

But a move to Villa could have got him back to being in the goals again regularly.

And one more season scoring prolifically in the Championship would surely have been a better option for the youngster than sitting on Chelsea’s bench.
