Tammy Abraham has told Aston Villa’s official website that he believes playmaker Jack Grealish boasts similar traits to that of Chelsea superstar and two-time Premier League winner Eden Hazard.

Grealish has continued his excellent form after coming within a whisker of joining Tottenham Hotspur, starring under Dean Smith. He has scored two goals, and turned provider on four occasions.

The 22-year-old Bodymoor Heath product is renowned for his skill, creativity and dribbling skills, and is likely to be of interest when the January transfer window opens once again.

Chelsea loanee Abraham reckons he embodies many of the traits of Chelsea icon Hazard, who continues to prove he is one of the Premier League’s best players. He was asked the best player he has played with, answering Hazard.

“Playing with, I’d go for Eden Hazard,” Abraham said. “He’s just so clever. Jack Grealish reminds me of him, actually – it’s the way they effortlessly dribble and use their body so very well.

“They are so tough to tackle – one minute you think you’ve got the ball and then they put their body in there so quickly. He’s so smart. He has a low centre of gravity, turns rapidly, gets goals and assists for fun. Those kind of players are ‘one in a lifetime’”.

Hazard – who earns £200,000 a week at Chelsea (Spotrac) – has been sensational this season, having a hand in 16 goals during his 18 league and cup appearances. He has scored eight goals himself, and created eight more – including a hat-trick against Cardiff City.

Abraham has wowed Villa fans himself, scoring 11 goals already this season and is on course to score 20 league goals in a season – the first time a Villa player has done so since 1981.
