Aston Villa striker Tammy Abraham has commented on his future at the club.
Aston Villa striker Tammy Abraham has stated that he doesn’t know what the future holds with Crystal Palace reportedly interested in his services.
The Telegraph reported a few days ago that Premier League side Palace are monitoring the situation of the 11-goal Championship man, who is on loan at Villa Park from Chelsea.
Dean Smith’s side are currently sitting outside of the play-off places in the second tier of English football as they crave a return to the promised land.
Abraham has been a key figure in Villa being the second highest scorers in the Championship this term as he stated that ‘you never know’ in regards to the speculation linking him to Selhurst Park in January.
“For me, it just gives me that extra confidence that I am doing something right,” Abraham told Sky Sports News on 17/12/2018 at 4:30 pm.
“Obviously, other teams are aware of what I am doing, for me, it is just about getting my head down, playing football and doing what I love. My dream is to be in the Premier League if it’s this season or next season, you never know. My head is just focussed on Aston Villa.”
Last season, Abraham was on loan at Swansea where he netted on five occasions but he was unable to prevent their relegation to the Championship.
He has since decided to drop down divisions once again after representing Bristol City two seasons ago where he scored 26 goals for Lee Johnson’s side.
If Abraham does opt to leave Villa Park then Smith will be left with Scott Hogan, Jonathan Kodjia, Rushian Hepburn-Murphy and Keinan Davis as his striking options.
