The Athletic have reported that Tammy Abraham has not got a move lined up and stunned his Chelsea teammates in training last season, amid speculation that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal want him.
Arsenal interest
The Telegraph reported last week that Arsenal are interested in signing Abraham from London rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Chelsea are willing to sell the England international and value the striker at £40 million.
How Tammy Abraham shocked Chelsea teammates
The Athletic have reported that last season some of Abraham’s Chelsea teammates ‘privately wondered’ if the former Aston Villa loanee already had lined up a move away from Stamford Bridge – they were that surprised.
That was because despite being left out of matchday squads by Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, the 23-year-old remained in high spirits in training.
The report has claimed that it is not the case that Abraham has already found a new club.

Why should this interest Arsenal?
This bit of inside information is very encouraging for Arsenal.
It shows the kind of player that the Gunners would get, if indeed they signed the 23-year-old this summer.

Described as “unbelievable” by Villa attacking midfielder Jack Grealish during an Instagram Q&A last year when asked about the England international striker, Abraham appears to be a player who is willing to work hard and who takes setsbacks in a positive way.
The 23-year-old made only 12 starts in the Premier League and just three starts in the Champions League for Chelsea last season.
It must have been very frustrating for Abraham, but that he was still in good spirits in training shows his attitude.
