Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers were without Kenny Miller for their win at Hamilton last week.

Writing in his column for Herald Scotland, Tam McManus has criticised Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha for banishing veteran striker Kenny Miller, whom he suggests was probably fed up with Carlos Pena’s performance against Celtic.
The 37-year-old hitman was dropped from Rangers’ senior squad for Friday’s 4-1 win at Hamilton and has since been playing and training with the Under-20 side following a falling-out with the Portuguese manager, according to BBC Sport.
Caixinha benched Miller for the 2-0 defeat by Celtic on September 23, before bringing him on in place of the ineffective Pena at Ibrox that day.

And McManus believes that the Scot’s frustrations perhaps stem from the fact that Caixinha favoured the Mexican attacker over him for the Old Firm.
He wrote in Herald Scotland: “You just don’t do that [ostracise] to an experienced player – unless there has been a massive fall out or he is a player you are trying to get rid of.
“I have no doubt Kenny was fizzing sitting on the bench and watching Rangers not only getting a chasing, but look on at Carlos Pena play hide and seek for 53 minutes.

“He would have felt he should have been starting and felt vindicated when he went on so early for the ineffective Mexican. Maybe he has let that frustration boil over after the game.”
Miller has been a fantastic servant to Rangers down the years and played a huge role in helping them win promotion back to the top flight during the 2015-16 campaign.
But it seems like unless there is a change in manager, Miller, whose contract expires at the end of this season, will struggle to get another game unless the air is cleared.
