Aston Villa are reportedly rivalling Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers for Celtic destroyer Ryan Kent.

Tam McManus has said on Twitter that Rangers should do everything possible to re-sign the scourge of Celtic, Ryan Kent.

Kent, who joined Rangers on a season-long loan from Liverpool last summer, was a revelation during his spell at Ibrox and played a blinder in the Gers’ last two Old Firm clashes with Celtic.

Such has been the 22-year-old’s form, The Echo claimed that Liverpool could look for as much as £12 million for him.

The light Blues might find it hard to stump up that sort of money and, according to The Scottish Sun, Aston Villa are now rumoured to be interested in the winger.

Kent has come on leaps and bounds under manager Steven Gerrard, and McManus says that it would represent a ‘real statement’ if the 37-year-old could get him back in Glasgow.
