Glasgow Rangers forward Michael O’Halloran has infuriated the Ibrox faithful.
Tam McManus
Former Hibernian forward Tam McManus has taken to Twitter to comment on reports coming out of Ibrox that Michael O’Halloran failed to turn up for a game for Rangers’ under-20 side (via The Scottish Sun).
The Scottish Sun reports that O’Halloran has been banished from training by Gers boss Pedro Caixinha after not appearing for a youth team game that he was scheduled to feature in.
O’Halloran could be forgiven for being extremely frustrated about how his spell at Ibrox has gone, having failed to earn regular game-time and make much of an impact when he has been given a chance.
His current record in all competitions reads just three goals in 37 games in all competitions. And having seemingly fallen to periphery of the squad under Pedro Caixinha almost as quickly as he did under his predecessor Mark Warburton – despite the latter being the one to bring him to the club in the first place – it appears that his days with the club may be numbered.
Rangers’ Michael O’Halloran
And this latest development regarding O’Halloran is likely to damage his relationship with the Gers fans beyond repair – if the no-show really was down to frustration over a lack of first-team football – and McManus has not held back in his criticism of the former St Johnstone man.
The 36-year-old suggested that if the reports were true, O’Halloran should be moved on immediately.
