Scott Brown against Rangers
As reported on BBC Sport, Celtic midfielder Scott Brown will not be punished for a gesture he made following the Old Firm derby against Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers last month.
The 33-year-old former Scotland international was accused of “failing to act in the best interest of Scottish football”, as he celebrated Celtic’s 2-1 victory in front of the Rangers fans, according to BBC Sport.
It has been reported that after the deliberation at Hampden Park in Glasgow, it was decided that the former Hibernian star did nothing wrong.
This means that Brown will not be punished and will not miss any matches for the Hoops, who are set to win the Scottish Premiership title this season and have also progressed to the final of the Scottish Cup.
Former Hibernian forward Tam McManus, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport, has given his take on the verdict on Brown on Twitter, and he seems to agree with it, stating that the 33-year-old had done nothing wrong.
