Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers finished 39 points behind Celtic last season.
Tam McManus has claimed on Twitter that Rangers will improve on their third-placed finish last season next term, but believes Celtic will win the Scottish Premiership again.
Brendan Rodgers’s side won 106 points last season en route to a sixth successive title – 30 more than Aberdeen and 39 more than Rangers.

But there is renewed optimism on the blue half of the Old Firm divide, with manager Pedro Caixinha bringing eight players to Ibrox so far and a number of others are expected.
However, former Hibernian ace McManus does not believe that Caixinha’s business will be enough to shift the balance of power in Glasgow, adding that Aberdeen will likely finish third.
The Gers visit Motherwell on the opening day of the Premiership season on August 5, whereas Celtic clash with Hearts.
Rangers have had an excellent summer thus far, but it is ever so hard to envisage them leapfrogging the Bhoys who, in all honestly, will likely be too strong for anyone.
