James Forrest was Celtic’s hero on Wednesday night.
Tam McManus has paid tribute to Celtic attacker James Forrest.
The 26-year-old was the hero on Wednesday night as Celtic edged out Rosenborg in Norway to move into the last phase of Champions League qualifiers.

The Scotland international was given an unfamiliar forward role, after impressing in that position during the 5-0 thumping of Sunderland on Saturday, and it proved an inspired decision by Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers again last night.
Forrest hasn’t always had an easy time of it, often criticised by Bhoys supporters prior to Rodgers’s arrival last summer, and McManus is delighted for the winger due to the “unwarranted stick” he gets.
It was a good win, which puts Celtic 180 minutes away from another group-stage adventure, but there is little time to celebrate as Rodgers’s side gear up for their Premiership opener on Saturday.
The Hoops begin the defence of their league title with a clash against Hearts, as they also bid to protect their unbeaten league record under the Northern Irishman who didn’t lose a single domestic match last season.
