Tam McManus has mocked former Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty on Twitter ahead of his potential return to Ibrox today.

Rangers will take on Kilmarnock at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.

Lafferty could line up for Killie against his former club Rangers, having joined Tommy Wright’s side on Friday.

The 33-year-old Northern Ireland international striker has signed a contract until the end of the season.

Former Hibernian forward McManus, who now works as a pundit for PLZ Soccer, has made a joke at the expense of Lafferty ahead of the match, which Rangers fans might find very funny.

Lafferty was on the books of Rangers from 2008 until 2012, and won the league title in Scotland thrice, the Scottish Cup once and the Scottish League Cup twice.

The 33-year-old returned to Rangers for his second spell in the summer of 2018, but the striker could not make an impact under manager Steven Gerrard and left in the summer of 2019.

According to BBC Sport, Lafferty scored six goals in 30 appearances for the Gers during the 2018-19 campaign.

Rangers are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment, while Kilmarnock are currently 10th in the standings.
