Shane Duffy enjoyed a perfect debut for Celtic on Saturday afternoon.
The Republic of Ireland international made his bow as the Hoops thumped Ross County 5-0 away from home.
And not only did Celtic-mad Duffy keep a clean sheet, but the 28-year-old defender also opened his account at the first time of asking.
The big centre-back towered above everybody in the hosts’ box – including Christopher Jullien – to power home a header on the hour mark to make it 3-0 to Neil Lennon’s side.
At 6’4, Duffy has a huge aerial advantage over most players and his goal yesterday looked excitingly simple for him.
And Tam McManus has claimed on Twitter that he could easily see the Brighton-owned star – for whom Celtic paid a £2 million loan fee – reaching double figures in his first season in Glasgow.
It’s a pretty big shout by McManus, but you certainly wouldn’t back against the Derry-born powerhouse.
That’s because, as mentioned, his first goal looked effortless for him and it’s very unlikely that it’ll be his last in Scotland.
Whether he can score nine more, however, remains to be seen.
