Rangers will be hoping to maintain their status at the top of the Scottish Premiership when they take on struggling Hearts at the weekend.

Tam McManus has claimed that Rangers linked Aaron Hickey is the ‘best young player’ in Scotland, as his Hearts side will welcome the Scottish Premiership leaders to Tynecastle on Sunday.
The Scottish Sun have claimed that Rangers’ new sporting director, Ross Wilson will urge manager Steven Gerrard to make a swoop for Hickey when the transfer window re-opens in January.
It is said that Wilson has been monitoring £2 million-rated Hickey since his days at Southampton, and now wants to see him don the Light Blues shirt.
Speaking to PLZ Soccer, former Hibernian player McManus lauded Hickey as an ‘outstanding’ talent, as he urged Hearts to tie the 17-year-old down to a long-term contract.
“I think they have got to get him tied down to a long contract,” McManus told PLZ Soccer. “I think he has been absolutely brilliant. He has been the best young player in Scotland so far this season. He’s been outstanding.
“Manchester City supposedly looking at him and Rangers linked with him during the week. Maybe that’s because they are playing them on Sunday. I think he is a top young player. He can play in either fullback position and I think Hearts need to get him tied down.”

Wilson replaced the recently departed Mark Allen in the sporting directors hot seat earlier this week and he will be hoping to bring some of his success from England’s South Coast to Scotland.
It seems as though Hickey is the first name on his hit list, as the highly-rated youngster has a chance to showcase what he is about at the weekend.
He will come up against an in-form Rangers side that is sitting top of the Premiership table and put five past their most recent opponents before the international break.
