Newcastle United are linked with the 20-year-old talent.

According to L’Equipe, Newcastle United are interested in signing Adama Diakhaby.
The 20-year-old attacker has netted five times in 29 Ligue 1 outings for Rennes.
Newcastle are no strangers to being linked to talents from French football.

In fact, the Magpies have been linked to a host of players from all corners of Europe, though Christian Atsu, who made his loan move permanent this month, remains Rafael Benitez’s solitary signing of the summer thus far.
And fans of the North-East club have largely reacted with a sense of apathy toward the latest rumour.

It has been a frustrating window for Newcastle fans, and indeed Benitez who, according to The Independent, has considered leaving the club over the board’s reluctance to pay for his transfer targets.
United have already missed out on Ruben Semedo, who was heavily linked, and highly-rated striker Tammy Abraham also looks set to join another club according to The Chronicle, despite widespread speculation about him joining Newcastle for most of the month.
It remains to be seen if Diakhaby is something genuine or a mere product of the rumour mill.
