Jamie O’Hara has been speaking to talkSPORT about how he thinks Leeds will fare this season, and he has made an interesting claim.
When asked if he thinks Marcelo Bielsa’s men will outdo Sheffield United, the ex-Tottenham man said: ‘I think Leeds are going to finish higher than Sheffield United this season.
‘Leeds are on that buzz now, they’re flying. They’re going to get results, they’re also going to lose games. I think they’re going to do more than enough to stay in the Premier League.’
Now, this is an especially bold claim given Chris Wilder’s achievements last season with the Blades.
At one point in mid-July, the BBC described Sheffield United as hunters for a Europa League spot, as they were sat eighth with two games to go.
Eventually, they finished ninth, only five points behind Tottenham and 12 points off a place in the Champions League.

Wilder’s men really made an impact on the Premier League, so O’Hara’s belief that Leeds will outperform them this season speaks volumes.
Bielsa’s side have already scored seven goals and conceded seven in just two league outings.
They lost 4-3 to Liverpool at Anfield, before beating Fulham by the same score-line last time out.

They will surely be among the most exciting teams in the division given their tendency to score bundles of goals, but also concede them.
In contrast to Leeds’ thrilling start, Sheffield United haven’t got going yet.
They lost their opening game to Wolves by a 2-0 margin, and then succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa, a game in which John Egan was sent off.
