Former Arsenal and Celtic striker John Hartson suggested on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (broadcast from 6am, August 22, 2016) that Leeds United head coach Garry Monk should not make too many changes for the match against Luton Town on Tuesday evening.

Leeds will take on Luton away from home at Kenilworth Road in the second round of the EFL Cup this evening.

The West Yorkshire outfit will head into the game against the League Two side as favourites.

The Whites returned to winning ways at the weekend, as they got the better of Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 away from home at the Hillsborough Stadium in the Championship.

Former Luton and West Ham United striker Hartson believes that Leeds head coach Monk should not make too changes for the match.

The former Wales international has suggested that Leeds must build on their victory over Wednesday and try to go on a winning run.

Hartson has claimed that if the Whites lose to Luton, then Monk could come under pressure again.

“To have got his first win against maybe someone he did not quite expect to come away (with a win) against Sheffield Wednesday, clean sheet, but I think having got that win, he goes down to Luton, it’s a tricky game,” said Hartson on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (broadcast from 6am, August 22, 2016).

“He doesn’t want to go make too many changes because if they get beat, then all of a sudden he is under pressure again.”

Luton will head into this evening’s game against Leeds on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Stevenage away from home at Broadhall Way in League Two.
