Alan Brazil says Declan Rice is ‘perfect’ for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, but he ‘can’t see’ the West Ham United midfielder joining Tottenham Hotspur or Chelsea.
The talkSPORT presenter was reacting to claims that Jude Bellingham is set to join Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund in the summer – a body blow to the elite teams in the Premier League.
Liverpool certainly felt they had a chance to sign the 19-year-old, but many stumbling blocks have emerged over the last 12 months, with Declan Rice now being tipped to move to Anfield instead.

The 24-year-old is looking to take the next step in his career and moving to Merseyside would certainly help him along the way.
Yes, it’s now very likely that there won’t be any Champions League football at Anfield next season, but if Liverpool can lure Rice to their club, then a player of his quality ensures they don’t suffer the same problems they have encountered this season.
Nonetheless, when Alan Brazil was discussing the latest rumours about Bellingham being Madrid-bound, talk then turned to Rice’s future, as he told talkSPORT Breakfast (04/05/23 at 7:20 am).
“The other guy we spoke about,” said Brazil. “The two bright young stars, apart from Jude (Bellingham), was Declan Rice.
“It just seems to be that Declan is a perfect fit for Liverpool. I can’t see Tottenham and I can’t see Chelsea now, surely.”

RICE IS A ‘DIAMOND’ PLAYER
Not many are doubting that the England star will head for the London Stadium exit door this summer, it’s just a case of where to.
Plus, how stubborn will those in the West Ham United boardroom be when negotiating with interested parties for a player dubbed a ‘diamond’?
David Moyes has previously stated that Rice would cost more than the £107 million Chelsea paid for Enzo Fernandez in January – with 12 months left on his contract, surely he won’t be going for that price?!
