Jermaine Jenas has praised Mateusz Klich on BBC Radio 5 Live (19/09/20 at 5:15 pm) for the manner in which he took ‘responsibility’ for Leeds and Marcelo Bielsa during their 4-3 win over Fulham.
The BBC Sport pundit stated that Klich, 30, is an individual who is ‘talented on the ball’, as well as ‘combative’.
Klich scored in back-to-back Premier League matches for Leeds, as he netted from the penalty spot during their entraining seven-goal encounter against their fellow promoted side.
It has been some turnaround for Klich, who was sent out on loan and seemingly deemed not good enough two seasons ago before Bielsa walked through the doors, as Jenas was impressed with what he saw.
“It can look like chaos but I think it’s organised chaos,” Jenas told BBC Radio 5 Live. “Finding those players who can slot into those positions and also slot in and perform the way he [Bielsa] wants with the high intensity.
“It takes a specific type of player and it seems Klich is happy to take on that responsibility in that midfield area. He’s talented on the ball, creative, as well as combative in there. He slotted in his penalty with a really cool nature as well, which he also has [to his game].
“The passes he made, I think the through ball to Bamford for the goal. So, he’s a definitely a player who Leeds fans will take to in that midfield alongside Phillps and Hernandez.”

Klich is just a number of Leeds players who have been a success story under the remarkable coach and footballing-mind of Bielsa.
Stuart Dallas, Kalvin Phillips, Jack Harrison, Patrick Bamford, Liam Cooper and Klich himself are just a number of players who have improved dramatically during these past two seasons.
Dallas is like the James Milner of Leeds, Phillips is now an England international, Harrison has become more accurate and consistent since his first loan spell at Elland Road, Bamford’s all-round game is under-appreciated and Cooper has been the leader at the back for the Yorkshire giants.
