Speaking on Leeds United’s YouTube channel, Dominic Matteo has been full of praise for Adam Forshaw and his recent form.

The midfielder had been out of action for almost two years before his recent return to the side, but he’s returned to the first-team as if he’d never missed a single day.

Indeed, Forshaw is back looking sharper than ever. He’s composed on the ball and an absolute bundle of energy in the middle of the park.

Right now, it looks as though Forshaw is almost undroppable for Leeds, and Matteo has been very impressed by what he’s seen.

What’s been said about Forshaw?

Matteo told Forshaw directly just how well he’s been doing.

“I feel like your form since you’ve come back in has been outstanding. I’ve enjoyed the way you have played and you’ve been a key player and you’ve taken the bull by the horns really. You’ve got on with it and you’ve been a breath of fresh air for everyone. Talking at the club and around the ground everyone is saying how well you’re doing, so keep doing what you’re doing,” Matteo said.

Been brilliant

Adam Forshaw has been exceptional since returning to action for Leeds.

It’s one thing to come back into any team after a long-term injury, but it’s something else entirely to come back to a Marcelo Bielsa side.

Forshaw is playing under one of the most physically demanding managers on the planet, and despite playing barely any football since 2019, he’s looking sharper than ever.

The midfielder has been excellent and he deserves all of the praise in the world.
