Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Spurs have had an offer for Takehiro Tomiyasu turned down.
What’s the story?
Sky Sports are reporting that Tottenham are interested in signing Tomiyasu from Bologna in the summer transfer window.
Spurs have actually made a bid.
The North London club have offered £12.9m (€15m) plus an extra £2.6m (€3m) in add-ons in a bid with a total value of £15.5m (€18m).
However, the Italian club want at least £17.2m (€20m).
So, Tottenham’s initial offer has been turned down.
But, according to the report, Spurs and Bologna remain in talks over a transfer of the 22-year-old Japan international.
What are Tottenham fans saying?
As you can see from the tweets below, Tottenham fans want club chairman Daniel Levy to pay what Bologna want for Tomiyasu.
Well, some of them anyway.
According to Sky Sports, the difference between what Bologna want and what Spurs are offering is not really that much.

If Spurs want Tomiyasu, who can play as a central defender and as a right-back, then they should simply pay the difference.
Pre-season training at Spurs under new manager Nuno will begin soon, and it would be best to get the deal done now.
