
Gary Neville has said on Sky Sports Premier League (5:14pm, September 26, 2021) that he was impressed by the performance of Arsenal right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu against Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby.
Arsenal won the Premier League game against Tottenham 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Tomiyasu started at the right-back and has a wonderful game, leaving Sky Sports pundit Neville impressed.
The former Manchester United defender was on co-commentary duty for the match on Sky Sports.
Neville said about Tomiyasu on Sky Sports Premier League (5:14pm, September 26, 2021): “I have been impressed with him. He has been good. First time I have seen him live.”
Arsenal legend Tony Adams was also impressed with Tomiyasu, who is 22 years of age and can also play as a centre-back.
Adams said on Sky Sports Premier League (6:34pm, September 26, 2021): “I loved Tomi. I thought his positioning today was excellent.”

Tomiyasu has hit the ground running at Arsenal since his move from Bologna on summer transfer deadline day.
The Japan international international has made the right-spot at Arsenal his own.
The youngster was so good against Tottenham in the North London derby at the weekend that even some Spurs fans were impressed.
Tomiyasu took one shot which was on target, had a pass accuracy of 80.4%, won four headers, took 67 touches, made one tackle, one interception and three clearances, and put in two crosses.
