Gary Neville has praised Arsenal right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu on Sky Sports Premier League (7:04pm, October 18, 2021).
The former Manchester United defender believes that Tomiyasu has been a good signing for Arsenal.
The Sky Sports pundit has outlined how the right-back makes Arsenal and Ben White better defensively.
Neville made the comments on Monday Night Football ahead of the London derby between Arsenal and Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium last night.
The Premier League game finished in a 2-2 draw.
Neville said: “Tomiyasu has come in. He is really a good foil for White as a right-back because he plays centre-back, he tucks in alongside him.”

Takehiro Tomiyasu has been brilliant for Arsenal
Tomiyasu has been a brilliant signing for Arsenal and has made the right-back spot his own.
The 22-year-old can also play as a central defender.
In our view, because of that ability, Tomiyasu is able to do his job as a right-back better and makes it easier for White.

Like Tomiyasu, White also joined Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The former Leeds United loanee cost the Gunners £50 million in transfer fees, according to Sky Sports.
Tomiyasu knows when to help out his central defenders and when to let them do their jobs.
The Japan international has played five times in the Premier League so far this season.
Arsenal have won three of those and have lost none.
That is a very good record.
However, every player could improve, and there is something that Tomiyasu needs to work on.
In our opinion, the former Bologna defender could do with being a bit more adventurous and being more of a threat for the opposition.
Tomiyasu has given only four crosses.
