According to Turkish outlet Skor, Galatasaray have offered Fulham a chance to sign Ryan Babel for free, but on one condition.

The Dutchman spent six months on loan at Craven Cottage last year and became an instant hit with the fans. Babel scored five goals and provided four assists in 16 appearances for the Lilywhite, although he couldn’t help them avoid relegation.

Now that Fulham are back in the Premier League, rumours over a potential return for Babel floated around social media, and it now looks like it could actually happen.

Babel is now owned by Galatasaray, who have some business of their own with the Cottagers. Jean Michael Seri joined the Turkish giants on a season-long loan from Fulham last year.

Galatasaray reportedly have an option to sign the Ivorian for £16.2 million, but the Turks cannot afford that at this moment. However, they have come up with a way to convince Fulham to part ways with Seri for another season.

The report claims that Galatasaray will allow Babel to join Fulham on a free transfer if the Londonders sanction another season long loan deal for Seri.

That is an unorthodox swap deal but it makes sense if both clubs really are interested in signing the respective players. Fulham fans certainly adore Babel and some of them urged the club to make the deal happen in the coming weeks.
