Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after Ben White invited his followers to caption a photo of him in training for Brighton.

The image in question shows the 23-year-old staring at Neal Maupay and another teammate doing a strange pose.

White has a baffled look on his face, which he opportunistically thought he’d invite his followers to caption due to his confused expression.

Understandably, a number of Leeds fans hijacked the caption competition to make it about the failed attempts to bring him back to Elland Road.

White shone under Marcelo Bielsa last season, starting all 46 Championship games as Leeds won the title.

However, Victor Orta couldn’t bring the defender back to Yorkshire, as Brighton rejected three bids from the Whites.

The final offer was as much as £25 million, according to Sky Sports.

White seemed to be keen on the move, as he turned down three contract offers from the Seagulls amid the transfer saga.

Given the impression he made on Leeds supporters, you can understand why the fans still engage with their former loan hero on Twitter.

Their hijacking of his tweet made for some hilarious responses, in fairness to them.

Let’s take a look at some of their tweets…
