Southampton fans have reacted to the rumours that they want to re-sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Liverpool.
Following the departure of Danny Ings this summer, it seems as though Southampton are going to use that money to boost their squad.
It was suggested that the Saints not only wanted to bring back Oxlade-Chamberlain but his Liverpool teammate Takumi Minamino is also on their radar.
Southampton fans like the idea of signing Oxlade-Chamberlain, after the Liverpool 27-year-old broke through their ranks as a teenager.
Many would question whether it has worked out for the English midfielder since his moves to Arsenal and Liverpool because his career is now at a crossroads.
Lack of game time, form and injuries have resulted in his career stagnating on Merseyside, as he goes into the new season as a back-up option under Jurgen Klopp.
Given that the Ox is in that situation perhaps he is better off making that move this summer, even if it is a loan deal.
The Saints need extra quality added to their squad and someone like Oxlade-Chamberlain could have a Jesse Lingard-like effect and work wonders in their colours next season.
If he does leave then it seems as though he will be welcomed back with open arms.
