Speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, David Seaman has been discussing Gareth Bale after his incredible exploits for Wales last week.

The Real Madrid star, once again, put his national team on his back and helped them through their first World Cup playoff against Austria.

A match against Scotland or Ukraine stands between Bale and his first World Cup, but before the winger even thinks about Qatar, he needs to sort out his future at club level.

Indeed, Bale’s Real Madrid contract is up in the summer, and he needs to find a new club once the season is up.

Seaman says that he’d take Bale at Arsenal, despite his former Tottenham allegiances and reports claiming that he could be on his way back to Spurs.

What’s been said?

Seaman spoke about Bale.

“His contract is up in the summer, where do you think he will go next?” Seaman was asked.

“I was going to say Arsenal, but then I realised he played for Tottenham. I would take him, I would take him all day long, he’s a quality player and hopefully he will come back and play in the Premier League. Quality like that is good to see, it’s not just his free-kicks, it’s his delivery as well, the corners and the free-kicks he crosses in,” Seaman said.

Won’t happen

Seaman says that he’d take Bale at Arsenal, but let’s be honest, it’s never going to happen.

Bale is a Spurs legend, and according to some reports, he’s already agreed to go back to his former club for a third spell once his contract is up in the summer.

Whether or not those reports are accurate remains to be seen, but surely he won’t tarnish his Spurs legacy by going to Arsenal.

However, stranger things have happened, just ask Sol Campbell, and if Bale is available on a free, we’re sure that almost every top club will have a look at him.
