Jack Collison has raved about reported West Ham United target Said Benrahma on Twitter.
The former West Ham midfielder was impressed with one of the two goals that Benrahma – who can operate as a winger or as a forward – scored against Fulham in Brentford’s 3-0 win at home in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup on Thursday evening.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to the Hammers in the summer transfer window, with The Telegraph reporting last month that the Premier League club are interested in the Algeria international.
However, according to the report, West Ham do not want to pay the £20 million transfer fee that Brentford – who reached the Championship playoff final last season – want for him.
Stats
According to WhoScored, against Fulham on Thursday evening, Benrahma took three shots, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 44%, took 52 touches, attempted nine dribbles, made two tackles and one interception, and put in two crosses.
During the 2019-20 campaign, the attacker scored 17 goals and provided nine assists in the Championship, while back in 2018-19, he scored 10 goals and provided 14 assists in the league, according to WhoScored.
