Kevin Campbell has said on the Highbury Squad YouTube channel that Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhailo Mudryk would be a brilliant signing for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

The former Arsenal striker believes that Mudryk is “tailor-made” for the way the Gunners play under manager Mikel Arteta.

However, the Sky Sports pundit thinks that the priority for Arsenal in the January transfer window should be to sign a striker due to the injury to Gabriel Jesus.

Jesus is the number one striker for Arsenal, but the former Manchester City star has suffered an injury with Brazil at the ongoing 2022 Qatar World Cup.

There is speculation that the Brazil international striker will be out of action for three months.

The Sun reported last month that Arsenal and Manchester United are keen on signing Mudryk.

The Mirror have claimed that Arsenal have the framework of a deal worth £40 million plus add-ons in place.

Kevin Campbell on Arsenal – Mykhailo Mudryk rumour

Campbell said about Mudryk: “I think Mudryk’s tailor-made for what we do. I think in the end, in the end, Martinelli moves in as a striker. That’s the end game, I think.”

Good signing for the Gunners

In our opinion, Mykhailo Mudryk would be a good signing for Arsenal, either in the January transfer window or in the summer of 2023.

The winger is only 21, but he is already a regular for Shakhtar Donetsk and has also played eight times for the Ukraine national football team.

Arsenal have a very young team, and with his quality and dynamism, Mudryk would fit in well with the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli at the Emirates Stadium.
