The fact that one of the most technically gifted players in Taaraabt is awestruck by Tavares on Instagram shows how much of special player Arsenal signed for just £6.8 million (Guardian) last year.
Could Tavares cement himself at Arsenal one day?
Well, it entirely depends on a few factors.
For starters, Nuno Tavares, especially for the time being is far from being a reliable defensive presence.
Furthermore, the youngster also has a tendency to make rash decisions and lose his focus in games, which are factors he needs to weed out of his game as soon as possible.
If he manages to do so, Arteta may actually fancy utilising him, as he has a completely different profile to Zinchenko and can offer a lot more than Tierney going forward if he develops correctly.
