Trevor Sinclair lauded Bukayo Saka’s performance on talkSPORT and claimed that the Arsenal player was ‘absolutely tormenting’ West Brom and Conor Gallagher during their 4-0 win on Saturday evening.
The former England winger shared that West Brom’s Gallagher, who is on-loan from Chelsea, ‘absolutely swiped’ at Saka just before he was substituted because he became frustrated with the Arsenal star.
Saka scored on the night as Arsenal recorded a comprehensive win against Sam Allardyce’s struggling Baggies.
In the second half, Sinclair shared that Saka was a ‘joy to watch’ and the reaction from the opposition team proves how well he was playing.
“It’s a compliment what has just happened,” said Sinclair. “Conor Gallagher has just absolutely swiped Bukayo Saka down off the ball when he was moving.
“He has been gliding past players this whole evening. He has been a joy to watch, Bukayo Saka and I think it was just frustration there from Conor Gallagher. He’s swiped out and picked up a yellow card.
“Like I said, it’s the biggest compliment you can get as a player. When you are absolutely tormenting and that’s what it resorts to, it just shows how effective he has been in this game.”

It’s the youngsters leading the way for Arsenal, who are now on a charge after weeks and weeks of morale-sapping performances.
In truth, if Mikel Arteta had been sacked then not many people would have been surprised but the faith the board has shown is, at this moment in time, building towards something.
Whilst it’s still a long way to go, Arsenal fans will be grateful that they can see some light after weeks of hearing that they are in a relegation battle of some kind.
