Aston Villa midfielder Jordan Lyden has earned rave reviews since his departure from Dean Smith’s side.

Jordan Lyden is receiving rave reviews at Swindon Town, after being released by Aston Villa.
Lyden had progressed through Villa’s youth academy, but was let go by Dean Smith’s side this summer, after failing to make the grade.
At 23, the time seemed right for Lyden to move on from Villa, as his first team chances only appeared limited.
But Swindon fans’ reviews of Lyden’s performances may just suggest that Villa have let a future star go.
Swindon have made an impressive start to the new campaign, taking the maximum six points from their first two games.
Lyden was always renowned for his combative performances for Villa’s youth team, where he was a key player.
The Australian made eight appearances for Villa’s first-team during his time with the club, but they mostly came in the 2015/16 campaign.
