Swansea City goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt has been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest by press in his native Sweden.
According to Swedish newspaper Expressen, Nottingham Forest could be a potential destination for Swansea City goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt.
Forest signed two goalkeepers over the summer, with Stephen Henderson arriving from Charlton Athletic on a three-year contract, and Serbian international Vladimir Stojkovic signed from Maccabi Haifa on a two-year deal.
General view inside the City Ground
So far, Stojkovic has been Forest’s first-choice goalkeeper following Dorus de Vries’ move to Celtic, but the 33-year-old has endured some ups and downs, with Forest conceding 30 goals in just 16 Championship games – the second highest amount in the division.
Now, Forest are being linked with another goalkeeper, as Swedish newspaper Expressen have suggested that Forest could be interested in signing Swansea City goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt.
Swansea’s Kristoffer Nordfeldt
Nordfeldt, 27, joined Swansea from Dutch side Heerenveen in the summer of 2015, but he made just four appearances last season, whilst this term he’s played twice in the EFL Cup and once in the EFL Trophy.
Given that Nordfeldt is a Swedish international, he will want first-team football to enhance his chances of playing for Sweden, and Expressen suggest that Nordfeldt could leave the Liberty Stadium in January, with a loan move to Forest suggested.
Swansea City’s Kristoffer Nordfeldt
Swansea already have Lukasz Fabianski and Australian goalkeeper Mark Birighitti at their disposal, so the Swans may well be open to letting Nordfeldt go, but whether Forest look to bring in another goalkeeper without letting one go remains to be seen.
