Tottenham Hotspur are seemingly interested in Yusuf Yazici.

Turkish website Sporx reported today that Tottenham Hotspur were lining up a January move for Trabzonspor midfielder Yusuf Yazici.

Yazici netted six goals in 22 games for the Turkish outfit last season and has seemingly played his way on to Mauricio Pochettino’s radar at Tottenham.

At 20, the youngster might have a big future ahead of him and while clubs can often inflate the value of their players in the January transfer window as a deterrent, Spurs could have a way of reducing his price.

Trabzonspor spent most of the summer in pursuit of Moussa Sissoko and ESPN reported in August that they were close to agreeing a loan deal for the former £30 million winger.

With Sissoko still failing become a big player in North London, you wonder whether chairman Daniel Levy should float the idea of giving them Sissoko in exchange for the young schemer and a transfer fee.

The 28-year-old has one Premier League goal in his last 39 games for the Lilywhites and although he has shown an improvement from last season, it has been minimal and getting a highly-rated player in return would clearly suit all parties.

It could be the sort of move that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is relatively renowned for at this stage and, if the North Londoners are interested in him, sweetening the deal with Sissoko might be a fantastic way to make money, get a player and lose a bit of deadwood.
