Wolves fans have taken to Twitter to react after Bild revealed that Sami Khedira is thinking about leaving Juventus in January.
Why does this concern Wolves? Well, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side were linked with a move for the German over the summer according to Calciomercato, although he eventually remained in Turin.
Now, however, the former Real Madrid man wants to leave the Allianz Stadium after being frozen out by Andrea Pirlo.
The 33-year-old midfielder is yet to play a single minute of football under Maurizio Sarri’s successor, despite Bild stating that he’s in top shape after recovering from an adductor injury.
He may not be in his prime anymore, but there’s no denying that Khedira is a player of some pedigree.
The Stuttgart-born midfielder has won the World Cup, Champions League, Bundesliga and also La Liga across a glitzy career, among many other pieces of silverware.
Having said that, a midfield trio of him, Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho might be a contender for the slowest in the Premier League.
With the likes of Leander Dendoncker and out-on-loan Vitinha also waiting in the wings, perhaps Nuno doesn’t need another centre-midfielder.
