One report from Italy has suggested that Liverpool’s Divock Origi could potentially join Inter Milan this month.

According to Corriere Dello Sport, the out-of-favour Reds striker has been offered to the Serie A outfit.

For the sake of his career, Origi needs to leave Liverpool after earning only 12 minutes of Premier League football under Jurgen Klopp this season.

And although some fans of the Anfield club are willing to let him leave this month, they would prefer a permanent transaction rather than the loan that’s reportedly on the table.

Here’s how some Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter to the report:

Diogo Jota hasn’t played for the Reds in six weeks and Origi’s prospects still haven’t improved all that much, which sums up what Klopp thinks of him.

For whatever the reason, the German coach just doesn’t rate the Belgian hitman that much any longer, despite playing a huge role in Liverpool’s Champions League success in 2019, scoring three goals in their semi-final and final victories over Barcelona and Spurs.

But with Jota due back in a few weeks – according to Klopp – then now is the time to leave, even if it’s on loan.

And let’s be honest, he could do a hell of a lot worse than Inter Milan when you consider he’s barely a squad player on Merseyside these days.
