HITC Sport understands the Swansea striker is set for Ligue 1 switch.

Swansea City forward Eder is poised to join French side Lille on loan, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Eder, who joined Swansea last summer from Portuguese side Braga, has struggled to make an impact at the Liberty Stadium since his arrival.

The 28-year-old has been unable to hold down a regular place in the Swansea side and he has so far failed to score in 15 games in all competitions for the club.

The Portugal international is keen to go out loan in the second half of the season to boost his chances of making the squad for this summer’s Euro 2016 finals.

Given the recent signing of Chievo’s Alberto Paloschi and with Swansea thought to be in the market for another striker before the close of the window, Eder is set to fall even further down the pecking order at the Liberty Stadium.

New Swansea boss Francesco Guidolin is happy to let Eder go out on loan as he is unlikely to figure in his first-team plans, feeling he is well-stocked for attacking options.
