HITC Sport understands Swansea City have agreed a deal for Slovenian defender Paljk.

Swansea City are set to sign Slovenia Under 21 international left back Matic Paljk on a free transfer, HITC Sport understands.
Paljk is a free agent and able to sign despite the close of the transfer window after his former club FC Koper folded in July.
The 19-year-old made 17 appearances for FC Koper last season in the Slovenian Premier League and his performances brought him to the attention of several clubs across Europe
Swansea were alerted to Paljk’s potential after sending scouts to watch and they invited him over to South Wales for a trial as they looked to steal a march on other clubs for Paljk’s signature.

Paljk impressed Swansea’s coaching staff in a recent week long trial that culminated in a Premier League Under 23 game against Derby County and the club have decided to offer him a deal at the Liberty Stadium.
The teenager has agreed an initial one-year deal with Swansea and he is regarded as one for the future at the Premier League club.
Paljk is initially set to link up with Swansea’s Under-23 squad with a view to breaking into Paul Clement’s first-team plans before the end of the season.
