The Tottenham Hotspur striker is a doubt for Tuesday’s clash with Swansea City.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media today, ahead of his side’s clash with Swansea City on Tuesday, and delivered some worrying news for Tottenham fans regarding key man Harry Kane, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London.
The Lilywhites hitman has been sensational for his club this season, scoring 24 goals in as many outings, and he finished this year as Europe’s most prolific hitman, with 56 goals to his name.
Kane has played a major role in his side’s campaign thus far, and it doesn’t bear thinking about quite where Spurs would be without their star man.
They might just have to make do without his services at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday, however.
Pochettino spoke to reporters today during his pre-match press conference, and explained how the 24-year-old is a doubt for next week’s game due to illness, as quoted by Football.London:
“He’s ill. He’s at home. The doctor was there at his house. We’ll see tomorrow if he can be training here. No big issue.”
Carlos Carvalhal’s team are in desperate need of all three points, and currently sit marooned at the bottom of the Premier League table, five points adrift of safety.
And if Kane does not recover in time for Tuesday’s game, it will be a huge boost for the Swans in their hopes of picking up a vital win.
