Aston Villa are reportedly targeting a summer move for the Swansea City defender.

Swansea City fans are reacting to reports linking Mike van der Hoorn with Aston Villa.
The Sun reported this weekend that Aston Villa are targeting a free transfer move for the Swansea defender this summer, having been quoted £10 million for him last month.
Van der Hoorn recently entered the final six months of his contract at the Liberty Stadium, but has told Football Oranje that the Welsh side have an option to extend that by a further year should they wish to do so.
Finances could dictate Swansea’s decision to renew Van der Hoorn’s deal, especially if Graham Potter’s side fail to gain promotion this season.
Swansea offloaded several presumed high earners on the final day of the January transfer window, including Tom Carroll on loan to Aston Villa.

But by tying down Van der Hoorn, they could at least demand a fee for the 26-year-old.
This is what those of a Swansea persuasion are saying about the matter…
Will the reported Aston Villa target remain at Swansea City next season?
