West Bromwich Albion should seriously consider a move for the Swansea City man.
West Brom manager Tony Pulis
Baggies boss Tony Pulis will be under tremendous amounts of pressure to delivers the goods at the Hawthorns during this summer’s transfer window, after a string of failed swoops for some of his primary transfer targets over the past couple of years.
One particular area of the West Brom squad which needs urgent attention is the forward department, with Pulis’ side far too reliant on Salomon Rondon as their main goal threat.
With this in mind, the Black Country outfit should consider a move for Swansea striker Bafetimbi Gomis, who is close to leaving the Liberty Stadium, according to BBC Sport, with Turkish giants Galatasaray thought to be circling.
The 31-year-old joined the Welsh outfit on a free transfer in the summer of 2014, after his contract with Lyon expired, but he failed to live up to high expectations following his arrival.
He showcased his true ability, however, after spending the entirety of last season’s campaign on loan with Ligue 1 side Marseille, scoring 20 goals in 31 league outings for the French side.

Gomis would add serious competition for Rondon in the centre-forward position, and he would offer Pulis the opportunity to play with two strikers up top, which would in turn make the Baggies less predictable to line up against.
The West Brom manager’s reluctance to spend money is common knowledge, but with Gomis’ deal with Swansea due to expire next summer, the Baggies could earn themselves a real bargain, with the Welsh side unlikely to risk losing the Frenchman for nothing next year.
And if Pulis does manage to bring him to the Hawthorns, it could turn out to be a real coup for his club.
