West Ham United have been linked with a move for the Swansea City ace.
Hammers boss David Moyes will surely be looking to bolster his ranks during the January transfer window, with his side still looking nervously over their shoulders.
West Ham currently sit in 15th position in the Premier League table, with just two points separating them from the drop zone.
One of Moyes’ primary targets is £25 million-rated Swansea centre-half Alfie Mawson, according to the Telegraph, and what a signing he would be for the East London outfit.

The 23-year-old has really impressed since making his £5 million switch from Barnsley in the summer of 2016, and he is now considered to be one of the most highly sought-after young centre backs in the country.
Standing at 6ft 2 in tall, along with his powerful frame, Mawson has the ability to dominate both in the air and on the ground. He is also no slouch when it comes to pace, and is already maturing into a wonderfully gifted all-round defender.
If Moyes does manage to bring him to the London Stadium, it could be a signing of real significance, and might just give the Hammers arguably the best back three in the league for the future.
West Ham already have highly-rated teenage pair Declan Rice and Reece Oxford on their books, although the latter is currently on loan in the Bundesliga.
And if they manage to bring the Swans man to east London in January, they would have three central defenders who could play together for at least the next 10 years – an exciting prospect for West Ham fans indeed.
