Swansea City could only pick up a point against Watford at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday and there’s cause for concern.

Bob Bradley’s Swansea City were held to a draw at home by Watford on the weekend and the point wasn’t enough to lift them out of the dreaded bottom three.

The Swans are currently two points away from safety but the fixture list continues to make for grim reading.

The Watford clash was Swansea’s first clear sighting of three points in some time after facing three of the top four on the bounce in recent outings, but they still couldn’t make it count.

Performance-wise, again there was huge room for improvement but at times, it was a good showing from Swansea and they were rather unlucky not to win, but that’s the difference between those who survive and those who don’t.

Bob Bradley must make the most of winnable home games like this and if he doesn’t, then his team will without doubt remain where they are until May.

Failure to win against the Hornets creates a big problem for Swansea who now face a tricky trip to the Bet365 Stadium to face a rejuvenated Stoke City before facing Manchester United, Everton, Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Watford clash was perhaps one of only two realistic chances Swansea have at securing three points in five games.

If Bob Bradley can’t steal a few surprise points over the next few games, then his job will become one of great difficulty.

Swansea simply have to start picking up points before they get caught up in the Premier League relegation dog-fight because when Christmas arrives, the power of the drop may be too much to escape.
