The recently appointed Swans’ manager takes charge of his first home game at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday when Watford travel to South Wales.

New Swansea City manager Bob Bradley has issued a rallying cry to the club’s fans in his pre-match press conference ahead of this weekend’s early season six-pointer with Watford at the Liberty Stadium, as published by Wales Online.
Swansea controversially parted company with former manager Francesco Guidolin at the start of October, after a return of just four points form their opening seven fixtures left the Swans rooted to the foot of the Premier League table.
The unsavoury manner in which former United States men’s national team manager Bob Bradley was immediately instated as the club’s new manager following the popular Guidolin’s abrupt dismissal rubbed many members of the Swans’ fanbase up the wrong way.
However, after conceding that Swansea are in the midst of a fierce relegation battle, the 58-year-old has sought to unify the club’s disenchanted fan base by telling them that their support is more needed now than ever, as he looks to deliver the Jack Army their first victory of the campaign.

In quotes published by Wales Online, the former Le Harve manager pleaded:
“We need them (the fans). We are in it together.
“I’m not the one to stand in front of the bench and take the flag every time. I consider if we work the right way and understand what they (the fans) are looking for and we get that part right, it speaks for itself.
“But every now and again it’s good to remember this is important. And this is an important home match and, to everyone at the Liberty on Saturday — we absolutely need you.”

Swansea will be looking to stem a barren run of five straight league defeats when they take on Walter Mazzarri’s in-form Watford side at the Liberty on Saturday, however, they can take confidence into the encounter after putting in an encouraging performance during last weekend’s 3-2 defeat at The Emirates Stadium.
Many assumed that the troubled Swans would roll over and take a pummelling after a red-hot Arsenal side raced into a two goal first-half lead, however, to their credit, Bradley’s side showed the type of fighting spirit that will be required to turn their current predicament around by pulling themselves back into the tie, and they were unfortunate not to emerge from the game with a point after missing a succession of presentable late opportunities.

The Swans face tough tests against Stoke City, Manchester United and Everton following this weekend’s clash with Watford, so it is imperative that Bradley’s men pick up their first victory of the season sooner rather than later to ensure that they can take some momentum into a tricky set of fixtures.
