Tottenham Hotspur defender Cameron Carter-Vickers has drawn mixed reviews after his full debut performance for Swansea City on Tuesday evening.

Carter-Vickers was selected to start for Swansea for the first time since his summer move from Spurs in Graham Potter’s side’s match against Stoke City.

Swansea were beaten 1-0 in the contest, and while the centre-back caught the eye of some onlookers, others were less impressed.

Carter-Vickers is regarded as one of Tottenham’s brighter prospects, and he is gaining good experience for a player of his age.

The American is still only 20-years-old, yet he has played regularly in the Championship on previous loan spells and also is a full international for his country.

Tottenham have high hopes for Carter-Vickers’ future, with the youngster seemingly having some hope of becoming a first-team regular back with Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Swansea’s next match comes against Middlesbrough, when Carter-Vickers will be hoping to keep his place once again.
