Celtic are reportedly keen on Swansea City’s Graham Potter.

Neil Lennon’s grip on the Celtic job tightened today with a 3-0 thrashing of Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park.

The Bhoys are into the final of the competition and closing in on another domestic treble, which would be their third in a row as Lennon has kept the club moving forward after Brendan Rodgers’ exit.

Interim boss Lennon’s style of play isn’t quite as easy on the eye of Rodgers’ was, and that means that Celtic would be foolish not to consider other options.

With that in mind, The Scottish Sun report that Celtic are interested in Swansea City boss Graham Potter, with a host of other managers being looked at for potential moves.

Potter’s agents are understood to be well-connected at Celtic, but he remains an outsider for the job as Lennon closes in on a permanent stay at Parkhead.

Potter, 43, spent eight years in charge of Swedish side Ostersund, his first managerial job after a career mostly in the lower reaches of English football, and he worked a miracle with Ostersund.

Within seven years, Potter had taken Ostersund from the fourth tier of Swedish football to the Europa League, knocking Galatasaray out of the qualifiers and and somehow reaching the knockout stages, where they were eventually beaten by Arsenal.

Potter has been implementing his superb brand of football at Swansea this season, helping them through a transition campaign ahead of what should be an exciting campaign next term.

Unsurprisingly, Swansea fans are not impressed with this Celtic rumour, believing that it would be a sideways or even backwards move for Potter, but feel he may deserve better than the ownership at Swansea, adding that his exit would be a ‘disaster’.
