Garry Monk had recently suggested Leeds United would try to sign Kyle Bartley on a permanent transfer.

Paul Clement has told Wales Online that Swansea City have no intention of letting Kyle Bartley re-join Leeds United this summer.
Garry Monk has confirmed that he will try and sign Bartley on a permanent deal, if he stays on at Leeds.
However, Clement insists that Swansea have no intention of letting the 25-year-old leave, as he is a big part of his plans for next campaign.

“He’s had a good season, we’ve spoken on the telephone and said well done,” Clement said.
“It’s unusual loan players captaining the side, he’s done well, but from our point of view I’m looking forward him coming back and working with him.
“As far as I’m concerned he’s a Swansea player and he’s staying.
“He’s coming back here.”

The news will be desperately disappointing for Leeds fans, who have been urging the club to sign Bartley.
The centre-back has become a real fans’ favourite at Elland Road, after a string of brilliant performances.
Bartley has been one of Leeds’ best players over the past campaign, and his rock solid performances alongside Pontus Jansson were a major reason why the Yorkshire club challenged for promotion for so long.
Bartley will now be competing with the likes of Alfie Mawson and Federico Fernandez for a first-team place at Swansea next season.
